Annual Mountain Gardens ArtFest!


The ArtFest has been held for many years now, and is a way for us at Mountain Gardens to say “Thank You” to the East Mountains community for its support.

Come and enjoy the work of our fine artists in the East Mountains. Purchase works of art that will bring enjoyment to you and your family. Stroll through the nursery and enjoy the lowest prices of the season for plants that thrive in the East Mountains.

ArtFest Contract

Contract for Mountain Gardens ArtFest 2012 Show

1) Acceptance: The event organizers will review photos of artists’ work and make selections based on excellence, originality, variety of mediums, and locale. On acceptance, the artist will pay a space fee of $50.00, and return it to Mountain Gardens either by mail or hand carried to the nursery with this signed contract before August 1st, 2012 (if for some reason the artist cannot participate, this will give us time to fill the booth space. If the artist does wish to participate but has a problem, they should contact Mountain Gardens as soon as possible, and we will try to work with them.)

2) Display: The space is 10x10 feet. Artists may request the space of their choice on a first come basis (in advance and with the caveat that similar mediums should be spread out as much as possible.) The artist is responsible for providing tables, canopy, standing umbrella and other items for their space.

3) Security: There will be someone spending the night on the site, but Mountain Gardens will not be held liable for damage, loss, theft, injury, etc.

4) Other terms: Artists agree to put up and take down with everyone else (if there are problems please contact Mountain Gardens).  Artists agree to remain for the full two days. Artists will be selling or    taking commissions on their own original art or crafts. Artists are responsible for all taxes for their sales.

5) Publicity: Mountain Gardens will put out newspaper ads two weeks before the event, distribute flyers throughout the local area, put signs on the road.  Artists may request flyers to distribute to their own mailing lists.

6) Photographs: Mountain Gardens may photograph for documentation or publication. (We would like photos for next year’s press releases) .

7) Abandonment: Mountain Gardens will hold objects left behind for a period of (30) thirty days following event then will donate items.
